The Mother Road by Meghan Quinn

The Mother Road
Never in a million years would I have pictured myself as an axe-wielding, dragon lady, chopping up multi-colored flannel shirts into my very own plaid mulch. But here I am, chopping away my frustrations.

It all started when my brother, Paul, convinced me to go on one last family road trip across the Mother Road with him and my dad.. Just like old times, right? Wrong. What Paul fails to mention is his best man, Porter, will be joining us, who just so happens to be my childhood crush and the man who broke my heart four years ago.

What is supposed to be a fun, family bonding experience across Route 66 turns into a war of pranks, awkward moments and bathrooms full of dirty flannel shirts and day old beard clippings. Paul’s know-it-all attitude and Porter’s devilish charm brings me to the brink of my sanity on my seven day trek across the United States with three bearded men in a small 1980’s RV.

My Review
This is the first book by Meghan I've read... Now after reading The Mother Road I will definitely read more books by this very talented author

<3 FAVE QUOTE <3
I fell in love with my best friend's little sister - there's no denying it - I've loved her for years <3 swoon Porter

The Mother Road is a stand-alone, which is awesome, I love a good story that starts and finishes in one book... and TMR is the perfect book

It honestly took a few days to write this after finishing TMR, I just couldn't find the rights words to do this book justice

The Mother Road is a laugh your pants off hilarious, Road Trip of epicness <3
Its a tale of four, that embark on one hell of a last ride
I honestly laughed so much my stomach hurt... This book should come with a hazard warning

Ok so... in The Mother Road we meet Marley , a Cali beauty blogger
but Marley wasn't always a Cali girl.. she was born and bread on a farm in rural New York up until a few years ago.... the now stylish blogger was once a big tailed, denim wearing farm girl... Marley has changed a lot in the past few years... she's all grown up

Marley's brother Paul and her father show up at her apartment unannounced in there beat up old RV.. Paul is getting hitched soon and will be starting  a new life with his wife.. so before then Paul wants to have one last family road trip.. like they did often when they were younger before their mother died

Before she died, she'd planned a trip for the family along Route 66 don't to the last detail.... so to honour their mam, Paul and their father decide to take this one last trip... to The Mother Road

Marley couldn't be happier.. she hasn't seen her family enough since moving to California... so this trip is just what she needs
.... Marley is going to sit back and enjoy the ride

Everything is going smoothly, that is until.... her father pulls over to pick up a hitchhiker on the side of the road!!!
Everything would be fine.. if said hitchhiker wasn't the one man she's had a crush on since a little girl,, if said hitchhiker wasn't the man that broke her heart,, and said hitchhiker just so happens to be her brothers best friend.... and his best man
and now she finds out that said hitchhiker will also be joining them on the trip....
Oh Boy... things just got bad

Marley hasn't set eyes on Porter since the night four years ago.. when he shattered her heart.... now he's here.. sexier than ever all grown up!!! and now spending the next few days with him in a tiny RV..........
Its gunna be one hell of a last ride

WOW, WOW, WOW... Honestly, I don't know what else to say other than ...
You Must Read This Book.. Like Now!!!

I nearly wet myself laughing all the way through.. Marley and Paul together are so, so funny :) .... Hilarious
But I also loved the storyline/plot.. even though it was funny.. The Mother Road also had a really solid, sweet, swoony romance story too..

The Mother Road is one of the funniest books I've read in a long time
I was up reading it til 3am, I just couldn't put it down

Meghan is a genius.. I'm now a huge fan <3

The Mother Road is a hilarious, swoony must read

5* Hilariously Swoony Stars
